Community Health Activities

IIn an effort to offer HIV education and prevention messages to those who would not otherwise come through our office, our Community Health Outreach Workers (CHOWs) conduct much of their work out in the field, to various target populations. You may find our CHOWs in various public places, bars, events, parks and areas where those who may be most at risk may congregate. Our Health Workers are certified by the California State Office of AIDS as HIV Test Counselors and are knowledgeable about many resources in our community. They're out there to assist you and to provide information, testing, and referral information..
