Perhaps the ideal job is one that you make for yourself: self-employment, and even hiring others once you are established. The Internet makes that easy; freelancing through the mail or email for companies that outsource certain functions. You can do it part-time and on your own time.
The same principles of job-seeking apply. Have you made important contacts by volunteering or interning? Do you have allies who can help you find a position? The secret about jobs is that people and companies always need someone to do tasks they don't want to do, don't know how to do, or don't have time to do. They need you. So look for their needs, and describe yourself as the perfect solution to their problem.
